railway trucks, publication of which was notified in General Routine Order No. 213,

286. To enable the Postal Authorities to deal with complaints regarding parcels
disposed of in accordance with General Routine Order No. 485, dated 25th July, 1.917,
Officers commanding units are to forward lists, giving the name and unit of the addressee
and a full description of the parcels, to the Field Post Office from which received, as soon
as possible after receipt.—Q-1444.
287. In order to turn over stocks and to avoid deterioration, an issue of tinned or
dried vegetables will be made once a week to British troops. Equivalents are as under:—
12 ozs. fresh vegetables = 6 ozs. tinned vegetables
6 ozs. tinned „ = 3 ozs. dried „ QA486
Saddlery, Officers 288. In continuation of General Routine Order No. 1601, dated October, 1916:—
Officers indenting for a first issue of Service Saddlery will endorse the following
particulars on the indent form :—
1. Officer’s rank, name and initials (in block letters) for whom the saddlery is
demanded.
2. Also certificates to the following effect:—
(a) That no public or private saddlery is in possession of the Officer.
(b) That no compensation, as allowed by Indian Army Order No. 1401 of
1917, has previously been paid, and ;
(c) In the case of dismounted units and departments that the Officer will
have to perform mounted duties.—Q-24.^
