On February 23rd it was reported at Birjand that one German accom
panied by twenty-five sowars had reached Nairadha on 19th Chartuni 20th and
was proceeding to Khur.
It was said that a larger party was following.
On 24th February our cavalry went out to Chahak.

If we promised to pay all expenses and if necessary maintain a special
clerk in his office, would it not be possible to get frequent telegrams from
Governor-General, Kerman, through Minister of Interior, as the news from
Kerman that we are receiving now via Bunder Abbas is somewhat old and un-
reliable. ,
. Following news has been received by the last caravan from Khabxs to
Neb:—
(1) Germans are said to have been digging at Kerman.
(2) No Germans at present in Khahis.
(3) Three thousand Ismailis are collecting to avenge death of Aga
Farrukh Shah.
(4) Germans have gone towards Yezd.

The primary correspondents are the British Legation, Tehran; the British Consulate, Seistan and Kain; and the Government of India.
