Revenue Trcasurr :n March last also exhibit an aggregate in
crease of Rs. 41,69,753 as compared
with that of the previous year, money being less urgently
required at the General Treasury,

18. It will be seen from the above Statement that the
receipt of new Coin into the Treasury during the year 1869- 70
exceeded the amount of Bullion by Rs. 13,05,308. The increase
is, as usual, partly due to the realization of Mint duty and the
out-turn of unworked Bullion in balance at the Mint at the
close of 1868-69.
19. Bullion to the extent of Rs. 3,63,00,000 was ex
changed during the year for Coin in the Currency Department
to replenish the General Treasury Balance to meet payments
of the Mint Certificates.
20. There has been an increased demand for small Silver
Coin during the year. The superabundance of Copper Coin,
both in the General and Mofussil Treasuries, continues. The
demand for the Coin in the Mofussil being less than the receipt
