A manual on horsemanship and veterinary medicine in many short sections (باب), covering the handling of weapons on horseback and the treatment of diseases of the horse. It was written by by Badr al-Dīn Baktūt al-Rammāḥ al-Khāzindārī al-Ẓāhirī (بدر الدين بكتوت الرماح الخازنداري الظاهري, d. 1311), nāʼib of Alexandria (see f. 261, lines 2-3 transcribed below). Its composition was begun in the citadel of ʻAkkā during the reign of Sulṭān Qalāwūn (قلاوون, r. 1279-90, see f. 278v, line 21- f. 279r, line 3).
A preface lists the contents of the treatise (ff. 261v-262r).

هذا ما ألفه العبد الفقير إلى الله تعالى بدر الدين مكتوب الزماح [!]
الخازندار[ي] الظاهري المعروف بالوقوف على قرابيص السرج والفرس
سائق في مشواره وهو يجود برمحه ويلعب بسيفه...
Ends (f. 279r, lines 5-14):

وألفه وصنفه العبد الفقير إلى الله تعالى بدر الدين بكتوت الرماح
الخازنداري الظاهري المعروف بالوقوف على قرابيص السرج
والفرس سائق في قوة مشواره وهو يجود برمحه ويلعب بسيفه فرحم الله
من قرأ فيه واستفاد منه شيئًا من علم الفروسية أو من علاج الخيل
وترحم بكتوت الرماح أحد رجال الحلقة المنصورة بمصر المحروسة رحمه الله
ورحم من ترحم عليه ودعا له بالمغفرة والرحمة ولجميع المسلمين وأوصيك
يا من وقع كتابي هذا في يده لا يدفعه لكل الناس ولا يدفعه إلا لمن يكون
مجاهدًا في سبيل الله أو لمن يعرف مقدار الكلام الذي فيه والحمد لله
رب العالمين وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وآله وصحبه وسلم
