July 28th - - Standard gauge lines. Samarra Tikrit formation
completed to miles 23 and a half and linking to mile 22 and
a half. (?)Metre gauge lines. Table Mountain Khanikin ex
tension!. Portion from Kur..*rah river to Khanikin 15 per
cent of mileage completed. Portion from Table Mountain
to Kur...rah cuttings 38 per cent banks 6^ per cent and
tunnelling 40 per cent completed;
Basrah port developements.. ,52 per cent of work in port
yards complete.
Narrow g-auge lines. . Hillah Kifl# - 19 miles format!cm and
15 miles linking completed.
Surveys . Detailed survey in hand of through route and
reconnaissance for extension beyond Khanikin.
