• correspondence and related documentation from 1939 concerning the travel arrangements of R S T John (British Vice-Consul in Bushire) around the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. in order to complete research for a report on economic conditions in the region (folio 1-52)
• correspondence from 1933 regarding who should pay the costs involved in the collection of commercial intelligence during two trips made annually by the British Vice-Consul in Bushire (folios 53-100).
• correspondence from 1925 that discusses how commercial intelligence should be reported back from the Political Resident A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency. in Bushire to the Department of Overseas Trade and the division of responsibility between the Colonial Office and the Government of India (folios 101-126).
