23. -UiKlo-Iranian Oil Company. It is reported that a party
of nine geologists is expected to tour Iran during August and
September, to survey the whole of the area wherein the A.I.O.C.
is at present empowered to operate. It is rumoured that the
Iranian Government wishes to reduce the area in question and the
A.I.O.C. wish to find the areas in which oil will most likely be
found* so that should this happen, they will be able to retain the
