that such goods are likely to be found. The Police

A rticled . CON TROL OF MOTOR VEHICLES .
New motor vehicles of American or Canadian manu
facture, (other than motor cycles) for which payment
has been made with, foreign currency obtained through
this Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. , ’shall not be sold or otherwise disposed*
of, except under and subject to the conditions speci
fied in a written permit from the Controller.
For the purpose of this Article, the Political
Agent shall be the Controller.
A rticle^ . HOARDING .
_ No member of the general public shall purchase
or have in their possession any article or commodity
in excess of their reasonable requirements.
Article ^lO. No wholesale or retail merchant may refuse
unreasonably to dispose of his goods to any other
merchant or member of the general public.
Article 11 . E XPOR T.
(a) The export from Bahrain of all goods described
in Schedule VI is prohibited except with the per
mission of the political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. . Permission to
export articles listed in Schedule VI shall be
applied for on the form attached to this Order.
Such form's may be obtained from the Director of
Customs on payment of one rupee and should be
submitted to the political Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. through the
Director of Customs, who shall certify whether
in his opinion, the goods which it is desired to
export are surplus to local requirements. No
charge will be made by the Political Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. for
the final endorsement of permits to export, except
as an emergency, that is, if the permit is
required within twelve hours of presentation at
this Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. , when a special fee of Rs.6/- will be
levied at the discretion of.the Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. .
Should goods be surplus to local requirements per
mission to export will not normally be withheld.

(ii) Cargoes of goods consigned from source for
transhipment from or re-export through
Bahrain to neighbouring countries may be
exported with the permission of the Director
of Customs.
