Dear Sir,
The situation of the Indian Camp near Awali makes
it very necessary that proper protection should be provided
there against air raids. This Camp is closer than the others
to the Refinery and protection against shell splinters is
consequently more necessary.
2. The Assistant Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. discussed this question
with you yesterday and I am glad to learn that you were
able to assure him that protection would be provided as
soon as materials and labour could be made available.
3. I should be grateful if you would let me know in
due course the steps you have taken to provide shelters
in this area.
