The letter gives news of the order from Shiraz that Sheik Ice [Sheikh ‘Isa] is to be appointed DariaBejir ( daryabegi - admiral), commander of the Persian fleet and thus must hand over rule of Barreen [Bahrain] to his brother Sheik Churrmam [?]. Also mentioned is the proposal by Sheik Calipha [Sheikh Khalifa] of Grain that an alliance be formed between themselves and the sheikhs of Bushire against Meer Mahanna [Mīr Muhanna].
