The letter discusses reports that a Persian army is marching down from Schirass [Shiraz] led by Zakey Caun [Zaki Khan]. It goes into the possible reasons for them coming and implores that the Company assist the Persians in any attack on Carrack [Kharg Island] in whatever way they can. A postscript confirms that the army marches from Shiraz in 9 days time.
