Covering letter with enclosures:
1) Letter no.258 of 1852 (ff 47-49) from Kemball to Major Atkins Hamerton, His Majesty's Consul and Honourable Company's Agent in the dominions of His Highness the Imaum of Muscat, dated 10 August 1852. Kemball states that through intelligence received by the British agent at Bahrain, Hajee Jassim (second enclosure, f 49), it has come to his attention that the Imam of Muscat is exchanging correspondence with Abbas Pasha An Ottoman title used after the names of certain provincial governors, high-ranking officials and military commanders. , viceroy of Egypt.
