Letter regarding a blood feud against Sayed Soulem [Salim II bin Thuwaini] which has broken out even earlier than Pelly had anticipated and reporting on the lack of following for Sayed Torkee [Turki bin Said].
The letter goes on to discuss British Indian politics and despatches from Sir John Lawrence and Lord Cranbourne.
The remainder of the letter discusses Pelly's Afghanistan journal which has been proofed and is being sent to SirBartle for printing and which Pelly has enclosed a list of names to whom copies should be sent (ff. 45v-37).
