Content

Letter refers to Bruce's letter of 3 December 1812, which reported that on his return voyage to Bushire, his ship, the Duncan, was attacked by pirates. Warden states that the Ternate cruizer has been dispatched under the command of Lieutenant Henry Davidson, in order to protect British trade in the Gulf. Includes a copy of a letter, dated 21 January 1813, from W John Hamilton, Secretary to the Government, Marine Department, Bombay, to Davidson, giving instructions for Davidson's new post.
