The letter is acknowledging the receipt of communications dated 3, 4, 6, 24, and 26 March 1812, which informed the Resident that his disbursements between March 1811 to March 1812 will be passed when documents for the payment of Stephen Watson Henshaw's full salary, and the increase of Mahomed Kaun's [Muḥammad Khān] pension have been provided; these are enclosed (not present) with the letter.

The letter also explains why rent is being paid for both the old and the new factories at Bushire at the same time.
