The letter is informing the Bengal Government From c. 1758-1858, the East India Company's administration in Bengal. From 1773-1833, the most senior of the three subdivisions of India, also known as the Supreme Government of India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. that William Bruce has moved out of tents and into new accommodation. It further notes that the rent for the house in question has not yet been established, but that it is expected to get set soon and that rent payments for the old factory An East India Company trading post. will cease the moment the company's woollens are removed from it; a warehouse for company stock is being prepared.
