The letter is enclosing a copy of a communication received from Sir Harford Jones [Brydges] and William Bruce's reply (see f. 35). The subject of the exchange is the acquisition of Persian Currency for the British Mission to Persia. The letter notes that William Bruce will endeavourer to obtain the most favourable exchange rate possible, but that he requires advance notice to improve his chances of success.
