Letter informing Pelly that he would have arranged for someone to meet him at Bombay, but he had been reported to be on a different vessel and it was too late once they knew to arrange anything.

The letter concludes by enquiring after Pelly's health and informing him that he has been asked to give his views on the state of Baroda.
