Donald writes to inform Bruce, from his position on board his vessel in the Bushire Roads, that he is sending ashore 200 bags of dates, because of a hole in his hull below the waterline. Donald writes that having unloaded the dates the hole is now above the waterline, enabling his crew to carry out repairs.
