In obedience to the words of the Exalted i*e, "Obey God
and obey the apostle and those in command with you" we summon
him to obey the oiddings of God and His apostle and Their
Caliph over His people on God's land*It is a known fact that
our lord and the lord of the Moslems, the Arair of the Paith-
ful and the Dependent on God the Lord of the Universe is in
command in this auspicious province.He has despatched us with
the army in company with our brother Saif Al-Khilafa Saiyid
Moharaed Al-Mutawa3$cil to the Eastern taact for the purpose
of safeguarding it from the guile of the frustrated Perenghis
and tor making a severance oi the relations existing between
them and the Sunni Arab Chiefs* Of the news very often receiver
by the Amir of the Paithful, Turkish Officers and ourselves,
we learn that you and his honour Amir Saleh bin ABdallah al-
Aulaki are of those who have linked themselves with the Govern
ment of the erring and misleading Christians in friendliness
and amity. It is not hidden to the people of Islam that
(subject to the words of God "any one of you who subjects him
self to their command is really one of them) their friendship
