An untitled treatise on archery ascribed to Rukn al-Dīn Jamshīd al-Khwārizmī (ركن الدين جمشيد الخوارزمي, ca. 9th century), whose name is given as Rukn al-Dīn Jamshār (جمشار) in the present copy.

This short work discusses the great masters and 'schools' (مذهب) of archery, on the authority of Abū Muḥammad ʻAbd al-Raḥmān Aḥmad al-Ṭabarī (أبو محمد عبد الرحمن أحمد الطبري, ca. 9th century), author of the oldest surviving comprehensive archery treatise and himself founder of the 'eclectic school' (مذهب الاختيار; see al-Sarraf, Shihab, 'Mamluk Furūsīyah Literature and Its Antecedents', Mamluk Studies Review ,8/1 (2004), pp. 141-200, especially pp. 163-66).

كتاب يذكر فيه ثلاث مذاهب

واختيار الطبري وستة أوجه وأيضًا ثمان مناصب على التمام

والكمال وبالله التوفيق وعليه التكلان

وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وآله وصحبه وسلم

Ends (f. 293v, lines 12-15):

...وقيل عن أبي بكر بن عبد العزيز بن جلهم

البغدادي بأنه كان خبير بعلم الرمي ووقف على هذا الكتاب وصح

وقال لا يجوز منع العلم لمستحقه من المسلمين وقيل عنه أنه ما سأله

أستاذ أو رامي أو متعلم عن شيء من علم الرمي إلا وعرفه رحمه الله
