districts from coming to Aden, they are still coming and will manage

(5) News from the Beni Omer country states that Shaikh or Saiyid Muham
mad Hasan has retired with his family to Gabal Ras and is said
to be now considering what measures he should take against W'
lurks and their supporters. About AJ months ago a renort
was received of the advance of a detachment of the Turks on Gabal
Habashi to make a demonstration and compel Shaikh Muhammad
Hasan to pay arrears of taxes claimed by the Turks and war contri
butions, and that when they were fired upon by his men from Gafin I
Habash,, the/ Turks returned to Taiz under orders of the“S
authontres. ^The Turks then sent certain people to see what Ekh
Muhammad Hasan was doing and report to them about his position
and the/again advanced against him with Shaikh Muhammad Ahmed
Naaman and his uncle Abdul Wahab with-some of their tribes, and
o have destroyed some of Shaikh Muhammad’s buildings'at Gabal
