Are you not of opinion that we should press the Sultan
to return and take this opportunity of recovering his authority
it would be good for his successor even if he does not
want to himself. Vide my telegram no. 1395 I telegraphed the
Government of India ahout detaining MaEaiiim Macollum, and
I agree with you tisfc yfeat that it will be better to let the
Sultan or the Arabs on his behalf conduct matters during the

I have telegraphed S .H.O. asking him to send her to Muscat.
