In this letter, William Bruce, Resident at Bushire, acknowledges the receipt of Captain Thomas Perronet Thompson's letter of 11 March 1820, in which Thompson requested water supplies for the garrison station under his command. Bruce promises to send a set of coopers - with casks and kegs - on board the Honourable Company's bugulah [ buggalow Large trading vessel. ], the Dolphin. Bruce states that he will also try to get the Commander of the country ship Liverpool to deliver its casks to Rasselkhyma [Ra's al-Khaymah].
